Home food

Homemade food,
from the flat upstairs.

The best biryani in your society is probably cooked two floors up — you just never knew when it was being made. On Hoodzy, home chefs in your apartment society post what they are cooking, how many plates, and when orders close.

How it works

From their kitchen
to your table.

01

See what is cooking today

Cooks in your society post today’s menu — how many portions are left, and when orders close.

02

Order by the closing time

Pick quantities and choose delivery to your door or pickup from their flat, if the cook offers both. Sold out means sold out — no over-promising.

03

Pay the cook directly

Follow the order from accepted to ready to delivered, and pay by UPI or cash, straight to the cook. When you pay is between the two of you.

Questions

Good to know —

Is the food cooked in the seller’s own home?

Yes. Sellers on Hoodzy are residents of your own society, cooking in their own kitchens. Each seller’s profile shows whether neighbours have confirmed they live there.

Do home food sellers need FSSAI registration?

Food sellers are responsible for food-safety rules, including FSSAI registration where it applies. Small home food businesses in India generally need a basic FSSAI registration — check foscos.fssai.gov.in for what applies to you.

Can I order for a party or a festival?

Yes. Many cooks list larger orders with a starting price (“From ₹1,500”) or no set price — send your request, settle the menu and price with the cook, and they record the agreed price on your order.
